Hi Everyone!
I am sorry I have not been on in awhile my Internet connection went down, it is hopefully up and running now so I can get caught back up on my blog! In this post I wanted to share these 8 must know beauty tips and tricks with you, if you have not yet tried any of these they are great! If you have any tips and tricks I didn't list here let me know, I would love to hear them.

Does your eye pencil tug on your eye, or not go on smooth try this:
Turn your eyeliner pencil into a gel formula with a lighter, matches, or candle. Hold your eye pencil just above the flame for about 1 second, then let it cool for about 15 seconds. Now glide on your eyeliner to find it goes on easier, and has instantly took on a much more smudgier formula.

Are you tired of your lightly pigmented eye shadows not showing up very well try this:
To make a these kinds of shadows appear more colorful, take white eyeliner pencil, and put it on your entire lid area. The opaque consistency of the liner will intensify the eye shadow shade, and make it pop.

Do you have trouble with your cupids bow not looking right try this:
Use a lip liner in the same shade as the lipstick your going to be applying, create an "X" at your cupids bow with it first, then apply your lipstick.

To conceal your under eye area try this:
Apply the concealer in an upside down triangular shape under your eye. With the base of the triangle right under your lashline, and the top of the triangle pointing toward your cheek. Applying it this way helps conceal any redness on the sides, or under your eye, and creates the illusion that your face is lifted.

Tired of your mascara drying out to fast try this:
When your mascara starts to dry out it can cause clumps, and nobody likes that. So to add a little moisture back to it, and make it last longer, add 4-5 drops of any brand eye drops that you have on hand into the tube, and swirl the brush around.

Do you not like to throw things away if you can find a use for them try these:
Clean an old mascara wand to use on your eyebrows. Use an old concealer brush to apply lipstick.

Are you really tired and want your eyes to look more awake try this:
Instead of lining your waterline with a dark eyeliner, use a white eyeliner pencil it gives the illusion of a bigger eye, and makes you look more awake.

Want to make your bottom lip look more plump try this:
After you have finished applying your lip color use your finger to stamp a little bit of a frosted blush, or frosted eye shadow to the center of the lip.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and a great week.
If you have tried any of these tips and tricks already please let me know how they worked for you, or if you know any tips and tricks that I didn't list here I would love to hear them.

Avon Extra Lasting Foundation

Hi Everyone!
If you have not yet tried this foundation you really should give it a try. It has SPF 12, and the claims are that it " Looks natural and stays fresh for 18 hours with light weight buildable coverage". The cost is $12.50 but I found it on sale for $9.99, so you know on sale I had to give it a try. My experience with this foundation is that it does last a very long time. I don't know about 18 hours I usually don't have makeup on that long, but it does last all day up until I wash it off at night without fading, breaking down, or settling into fine lines or wrinkles in my skin. It does seem to be light on my skin not heavy at all. I have combo skin and it actually fells really moisturizing. But beware a little of this product goes along way, I have found it to be more medium to full coverage for me. If you put on to much it may seem heavy, because it does not take alot of this product to achieve a good coverage. I have very dark areas under my eyes, on my nose, along with some other problem areas, and I have found it covers them very well. Of coarse I still go in with some concealer, but the foundation does do a good job covering these places on it's own. It also does a pretty good job at evening out my over all skin tone. The colors do seem to run a little dark though I have this is Soft Honey, and it is just a little dark for my skin tone, but I can make it work. So just keep that in mind if you do order this you may want to go one shade lighter than what you would normally be. It does come in a large verity of shades, so you should not have any trouble finding one that will work for you. It comes in a glass pump bottle that pumps out about a pea size amount at a time, and a couple of pumps is really all you really need to cover your entire face and neck. The way I apply this is to pump a couple of pumps on the back of my hand, then with my fingers I smear around on my face where I need the most coverage, I then go in with my Elf powder brush which is cut flat at the top, and works great for applying foundation. I then blend it all over my entire face, and down onto my neck using the brush. For those of you how are not familiar with Elf it is Eyes, Lips, Face you can check it out here. So over all I really recommend this to anyone who is needing a foundation that has good coverage, is long wearing, and that can cover problem areas without felling like you have on a mask. If you can't find anyone in your local area that sales Avon you can also order online by going to Avon.com and place your order there.

If you do give this a try or have already tried this please let me what your thoughts are on it, and if it did or didn't work for you.
I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day and a great weekend!
It has really cooled off alot here where I live it fells wonderful, and I am loving it I am really looking forward to Fall and Winter!

Get The Perfect Smoky Eye!

Are you afraid to wear a smoky eye? Don't be now you can achieve a beautiful one!

Gather These Items Before You Start
*Undereye concealer: Use any type except a liquid, it gets messy when you layer it with shadows.
*Black eyeliner pencil: Use any that will blend easily, with Soft, Kohl, or Smoky on the label.
*Slate gray powder eye shadow: Use one with a little shimmer, it blends easier than a matte eye shadow.
*Black powder eye shadow: Use one with a light shimmer, but not a lot of sparkle.
*A small tissue: Fold it in half
*Slate gray cream eye shadow
*Black mascara, and false lashes if you want to wear them
You Will Need Three Brushes For This Look
*Small angled eye liner brush
*Soft domed eye shadow brush: That will fit in eyelid crease
*Large soft, fluffy brush for blending

I was scared to wear a smoky eye until I followed these steps, now I love it!!!!!!

Step 1. Prep your eye with concealer
Tab it along your lower lash line, over your eyelid, and around the inner and outer corners of your eye
Step 2. Line your lower lash line with a thin line using the black pencil, with the angled brush go over the line until it is blurry
Step 3. With the same angled brush dip into the gray powder eye shadow, and trace over the black liner, then trace over it again with the black powder shadow leaving a little of the gray visible underneath
Step 4. The easiest way to do this step is to lift your upper eye lid with your finger and angle the black eye liner pencil to fill in your inner rim and the tiny spaces between your upper lashes. THIS STEP IS NOT EASY!!! ESPECIALLY FOR ME I CAN"T EVEN PUT EYE DROPS IN MY EYES!!!!
Step 5.Place the folded tissue from the outer corner of your eye, angled up toward your outer brow. With the brush for your crease, sweep gray powder shadow along the upper lash line and past the outer corner. Then blend it up from there to just above the crease in windshield wiper motion creating a V shape.
Step 6. Using the same brush for your crease, and the tissue still in place. Dust the black powder shadow from the middle of your crease to the outer corner, stopping just about to the gray shadow.
REMOVE THE TISSUE
Step 7. Using the large fluffy brush sweep it over the crease, lower lash line, and outer corner until the shadows are blended and the edges are soft.
Step 8. Pat the fluffy brush gently in the gray cream shadow and dab it across the lid and crease. DON"T SWIPE
Step 9. Finish with mascara, and False lashes if you prefer to wear them.

You can create this look using different colors if you would like.
Just play around with them, you will be amazed at what looks you can create!

I hope everyone finds these steps as helpful as I did, I can now wear a smoky eye, and be comfortable with it!!!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!!!

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer

Hey! Everyone,
I have been trying the Glamoflauge heavy duty concealer for a week or so now, and I am loving it. This Concealer is not new on the market, but it is new to me. I picked this up at my local Wal-Mart for around $6.00 very affordable, and even more pigmented than Make-Up-Forever concealers. If you cannot find this at your local stores you can also order online a HardCandy.com. It has many claims such as it will cover any blemishes, dark circles, all imperfections including Tattoos. YES, I said Tattoos, which I myself don't have any tattoos, but I have seen pictures online of this. I can tell you though that it does do everything else it claims. The tube is 0.71oz, and comes with a small pencil for little imperfections you may have around your mouth, nose, etc. It Blends on your skin very easily, and a little goes a long way. This concealer comes in a good range of shades I have it in Medium, which is a very good match for my skin tone. The way I apply this product is after I have applied my foundation i take a small dot of this on the back of my hand, spread it out to warm it up, then apply where I need it with my ring finger, I gently pat it into the skin DO NOT rub. I always set it with some powder.Be warned though if you use to much of this product it will become cakey looking, so use very sparingly. This product is highly recommended for oily/Combo skin, and does fell somewhat moisturizing on your face.

I hope you all had a great weekend, and a great start to the work week!

Welcome Everyone!

 Hi! Everyone

Who doesn't love to find sales on your favorite products, I know I do and I love finding low priced alternatives on high cost products. There are a lot of drug store dupes out there for many of those products including Mac, Too Faced, And many more. Here I will do all the work for you, I am always looking for drug store makeup that can give me the same looks as the expensive makeup can. If you have a product you would like for me to try and find a dupe for please just let me know, and I will do my very best to find it for you. I will also along the way be posting pictures of different high cost makeup looks from the web along side my photo of the drug store options for that look. I really hope you enjoy this as much as I do, I really have a passion for makeup, and that is how all of this got started. Like many others I could not afford to go into a high cost cosmetic store or online and spend $30.00 or more on one eyeshadow palette, so I made it a mission of mine to find products that would give that same look for way less in cost, and I am going to be sharing those with all of you. I am also going to blogs on tips and tricks for applying makeup that start from beginner level and up. I will also be doing reviews on some products so you can stay informed on how good or bad they are which is my thoughts on the product only. This is going to be a fun and exciting adventure for me, as i hope it is for you to. So subscribe to this blog, my Facebook page, And my Google+ account so you never miss any updates. As this hopefully continues to grow I will also be adding a YouTube channel in the future for live tutorials, reviews, and more so watch for that. I hope everyone has a great day, and thank you again for joining me on this new chapter in my life I am glad I can share with each and every one of you.

Jordana Lip Products I'm Loving!

I have recently starting using the Jordana Twist & Shine moisturizing balm stain, and the Jordana lip liners and I am loving them. They both come in a wide verity of colors, and they are very affordable. I find them at my local Walgreens, or you can also order them online at Jordanacosmetics.com

I have these in Honey Love, Sweet Pink, and Cranberry Crush. These fill so creamy, and comfortable on your lips they are not at all sticky, or slick filling. I have found them to be very true to color, and I have had no problem with them smearing, or smudging outside of my lip line. Even while eating and drinking they still last awhile. These balms twist up from the bottom so there is never a need to sharpen which I love! If you have not yet tried these you need to check them out.

I have these in Tawny, Baby Berry, and Plush Plum. These like the balms are very comfortable on the lips, if you are just lining your lips, or completely filling them in they go on so smooth. You can even wear these alone with a little lip gloss over the top for a beautiful look. I have found them to be very true to color, and have had no problem with them smearing, or bleeding outside my lip line. They are also a retractable pencil so you will never have to sharpen them. If you have been looking for a good lip pencil you should check these out.

A Must Try Wet N Wild Product

Hey! Everyone,
I hope your day is going great, mine has been very busy so far getting the kids off to school, running errands, you all know how it goes. But I wanted to share a must have palette with you today, if you don't already have it you have to pick this up. It is the wet n wild 8 shadow palette in "Comfort Zone" this palette is beautiful, and the shadows blend so easily, and are very pigmented. Plus!! Yes your right this one full of dupes! There are no matte shades in this palette, but it is still awesome. All of the shadows have some shimmer to them but not to much, they are so smooth and creamy in texture, I know you will love with this palette to.
You can pick this Palette up for around $5.00 dollars at any drug store, and all eight shadows are a dupe for a Mac eyeshadow which would cost you $10.00 dollars or more for each one. That would be $80.00 dollars or more just to have all these colors, and your getting them all for $5.00. Now that is a savings I just can't pass up.
Starting with the first row of shadows in this palette on the left hand side with the vanilla color at the top going straight down the dupes are as listed below:
Mac Eyeshadows:
1. Photo Realism                              1. Retrospeck
2. Texture                                          2. Sumptious Olive
3. Woodwinked                                 3. Greensmoke
4. Twinks                                           4. Club

BONUS: The first 3 shadows on the left hand side are also dupes for three Urban Decay shadows:
1. The light vanilla shade is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 shadow in "FOXY"
2. The pinkish shade is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 shadow in "CHOPPER"
3. The light brownish shade is a dupe for the Urban Decay Original Naked shadow in "SMOG"

Thank's for taking time out of your day to spend it with me, I hope you all enjoyed this post and have a wonderful rest of the day.

My Favorite Eyeshadow Singles Plus Dupes!

Hi! Everyone,
I have few of my favorite eyeshadow singles to share with you, Plus guess what YES they are dupes. These eyeshadows are very silky and blend very easily on your eyes, and used with each other can create a beautiful eye look with nothing else needed.

1. CoverGirl Eyeenhancers in Brown Smolder: is a deep chocolate eyeshadow that is intense and matte. It is highly pigmented in color, and can even double as a brown eyeliner. Brown Smolder is also a dupe for a Mac eye shadow in Expresso.
2. CoverGirl Eyeenhancers in Mink: is a beautiful color it appears in the pan to be a warm light brown, but when it is swatched it looks light a frosted tan. Mink is also a dupe for a Mac eyeshadow in All That Glitters, and a Urban Decay eye shadow in Toasted.

Wet n Wild single in Nutty: is a beautiful taupe color with a moderate amount of satiny shimmer, it has a creamy smooth texture, and very easy to blend. Nutty is also a dupe for a Mac eyeshadow in Satin Taupe.

I hope you enjoyed this post and find it helpful, if you have not yet tried these shadows you should they are great!
